Show-Me Sports Legacies
Show-Me Sports Legacies takes a story approach to learning about high school, junior college, D2 & D1 college sports and our beloved professional franchises in Kansas City and St. Louis. We talk to people who have made their mark as coaches, players, scouts, officials and business people after coming from small towns or little known communities or neighborhoods. We talk to people who are seeking to establish their reputation and break into sports career success. With a fan's perspective we look at how to encourage and support people who have that sporting dream.

1997 Trenton Lady Bulldogs Golf Wins a Missouri All-Class Triumph! A Crowning Achievement in a 20 Year Run of Success!
From a program restart in 1990, Trenton Lady Bulldogs Golf, quickly rose to the top of Missouri programs with a 1997 State All-Class Championship. They maintained a standard of excellence, placing within the top 10 in state tournaments 15 times in 20 years. Competing against the largest high schools in the state plus the top private school programs, they took their love of golf and one another to a place no one imagined for the small North Missouri town of 6000 people. This episode celebrates that with a rousing recap including Coach Ann Constant, Rachel Slonecker Sides and other key team members including Sarah Slonecker Harris, Amy Hurst McCullough, Jill Hurst Groebl, Lesley McKay Arnold, & Taylor Cox Ormsby. Hear about huge family support, youth golf, shopping and eating side trips and a Hoosier-like triumph on the links.
